The “Jimi Hendrix” of the violin and her wildly popular Celtic band returns to Schaeffer Auditorium with the best Irish show you will ever see or hear!
Eileen's performance history is beyond compare as a Nine Time All-Ireland Fiddle Champion, the founding member of Cherish the Ladies and original musical star of Riverdance, she also has performed with The Chieftains, Sting, Hall and Oates, Randy Brecker, Patti Smith, Al Di Meola, Steve Gadd. Eileen is also Grammy awarded musician, and featured fiddler on movie soundtracks including Gangs of New York.
The daughter of Irish immigrants, Eileen Ivers grew up in the culturally diverse neighborhood of the Bronx, New York. Rooted in Irish traditional music since the age of eight. Along with her band, Immigrant Soul, Ivers has established herself as the pre-eminent exponent of the Irish fiddle in the world today.
